help center

Welcome to the Good Grip Climbing School help centre. We have pulled some of our customers' most frequently asked questions and compiled them all into one place. Should you have any other questions we may have missed, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Bouldering lesson
does it include the gym pass?

No, GG is an independent school, so our classes and booking system do not include the day pass to the gym. If you're planning to get a Package with us, it's probably a good idea to look into the Membership options our partner gyms have to offer.

what should I wear?

Any clothes you're comfortable working out and getting sweaty in are great.

We require climbing shoes for safety, cleanliness and extra stability on the wall. You can hire a pair at the gym (or if it's your first visit, they're free!) or bring your own if you have them. We strictly do not allow barefoot or open-toed shoe climbing in the interest of both safety and hygiene.

why no ropes?

Bouldering walls are 4.5m at their highest, constructed over specialised cushioned flooring. Rather than falling into a rope and harness, you’ll be landing on large crash mats at the bottom of each climbing wall allowing you total freedom of movement and the ability to climb without a partner.

how long can I climb for?

As long as you like! Even though our class is an hour long, entry at the gym works as a full day pass, so once you've paid, you're welcome to warm up, follow the class, stick around, grab a coffee, and climb until your arms feel like jelly.

can I use my credits with my partner/child?

Absolutely! You can book for multiple people when scheduling a class. Save money by getting a bigger Package that you'll then share !

do you accept dine & discover?

Unfortunately, no, but the gyms do ! Feel free to use it for your entry/membership.

why not under 10?

We’d love to start from a younger age; however, at this time, indoor boulders don’t cater well to the reach of little arms and legs. Therefore, it isn’t a very safe and interesting experience for kiddies. If you’d still like to find a place for your child, please ask us and we can give you some recommendations.
